Blending two cultures & a variety of influences, singer songwriter JRosé has been releasing exquisite music since 2021. Growing up as a child with Jamaican-Ecuadorian roots, his fascination for music & the rich tapestry it offers has been a consuming passion that has defined his entire life.

Comfortably navigating the genres of RnB, Latin Pop and Soul with a drizzle of smooth Hip Hop beats, his introduction to music began with listening to his mom’s cassettes. Singing along with them note for note, he took on board their mastery of melodies & harmonies, & soon migrated to making songs with his own unique flavour.

JRosé sings from somewhere between dream and memory — where love is bruised, blooming, and bare.  His voice drips with the warmth of soul, the ache of R&B, and the introspection of alternative soundscapes.

Guided by the ghosts of 90s R&B — Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Mariah — his music doesn’t just play, it remembers. Every note is a journal entry. Every lyric, a confession.

He doesn’t seek the spotlight — only the silence after the song ends, when you’re left thinking about someone you lost, or someone you loved too hard.

For JRosé, music is a mirror, a balm, a prayer. And if you listen closely, you’ll hear the stories he can’t say out loud.
